“ We were a party of 9, during Ramadan, on a Saturday night. We had such a great experience. The room is pretty, bright, spacious, and clean. They took our order promptly, made recommendations when we asked, and brought everything out promptly as well. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. The spice levels were perfect - nothing was bland and nothing was painfully hot. The prices were reasonable and the staff checked in with us regularly. I do wish, as others said, that they did not serve plastic water bottles, which is not good for the environment. But this was really a five star experience. Thank you! ”
“ Organized an Iftar with colleagues recently They had a 25$/person Iftar buffet For people who wanted to order off menu, that was an option too We chose the buffet option They set up the tables for our guests The ambiance as always was impeccable Started off with a glass of refreshing juice that had basil seeds and amazing flavor accompanied by a cute Iftar plate: date, apple, orange, grape, jalebi Buffet food was served at the table: Pakoras: Eggplant, potato, onion Chickpeas Chicken Tikka Beef biryani Beef bhuna Frequent refills and excellent service Food tasted great and was plentiful Will go again! ”
“ Ate here today after work as a substitute paraprofessional at P.S. 234 Q. I had brought and ate the chicken tikka masala, couple side orders of basmati rice and garlic naan with a drink of mango lassi. The service there was also attentive and pleasant that I was the only customer since it's Ramadan and it's unexpectedly quiet as well. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time. ”
“ From the moment you enter up the shady stairways, you get struck by the decor and aroma of the cuisine. Service is quick and kind. Food is packed with flavor. The place can get crowded and feel rushed at times due to the high demand. Excellent place for a family dinner or a flavorful journey of food. Your stomach will be feeling the aftermath. ”
“ I was craving Bangladeshi food, so my partner and I decided to try Chef's Mahal in Jackson Heights, as it had promising Google reviews. We arrived around 1:30 p.m. on a Saturday. Finding the restaurant wasn't entirely straightforward--the sign outside pointed to "Chef's Mahal," but the entrance required walking up a somewhat ambiguous staircase that felt more like heading into an apartment than a dining space. We were warmly greeted once inside, and the dining room was completely empty. We ordered Goat Vindaloo, Goat Curry, and Garlic Naan. Each entree came with a generous serving of rice, and the naan was impressively large. The Goat Vindaloo was strikingly red, and its fiery spice balanced out the bold appearance. The Goat Curry didn't quite match the familiar taste of my mom's cooking, but it held its own with a decent, comforting flavor. What I appreciated the most was the chef's generosity with the meat--something rare in many Indian restaurants where meat portions can feel like an afterthought. Overall, Chef's Mahal was worth a visit for a taste of home, even though our dishes didn't taste entirely like Mom's. ”
“ Service and management were perfect and so nice. Food was impeccable! Very big and clean venue, will come again! ”
“ I went there 2 times and both times were for Iftar. Their customer service was good and they are very friendly. Great place to take family and friends. We made our reservation ahed of time and our table was ready for us. They gave us complementary fruits and juice to break our fast. The juice was very refreshing. We ordered chicken dum biriyani, beef dum biriyani, lamb dum biriyani, butter chicken, garlic butter naan, iftar platter and lamb karai. I really liked their Butter chicken, naan and lamb karai. Dum biriyani's were ok. I will go back again. ”
“ I had low expectations when I came here based on the few reviews but I can say we had a really great experience here. We ordered a lot of food. The food came out as it was ready so it did feel like we were sitting there for a long time. The food was really good and we all really enjoyed the malai kabobs and the saag chicken. The biryani was also excellent. It was pretty busy when we got there but it started to die down right when we started to get our food. The service was good too. There was always some one walking around the restaurant who you could call and also for anything you needed. We felt like everything was clean and we are pretty particular about cleanliness. We would come back here again. ”
